The Big Piney Library is located at 106 Fish St. and is the hub for many community activities. It offers a wide range of services including wireless internet, interlibrary loans, an ongoing book sale, art exhibits, children and adult activities, and meeting rooms.

Saturday, February 25th 12 Noon — 6 pm The Big Piney Library Free
Watch winners and finalists from the 2011 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, known as the Oscars of the wildlife film industry. All films are free admission and you can watch them all or pick and choose (show times listed below). The Library is excited to be partnering with the Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) and Encana for this special showing. Learn more about each film and watch video clips.

Fans young and old will not want to miss the 108th birthday party of the late Theodor Geisel—better known as Dr. Seuss. This annual favorite celebration will feature Seuss themed cake and refreshments, and of course readings of your favorite childhood Seuss books.

Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13th & 14th 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm The Big Piney Library $15 - $25
The Sublette County Library and the Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) are pleased to present a horsehair braiding and hitching workshop with award winning artist Richard Gould. The cost is $15 for PFAC members; $25 for non members. Supplies will be provided.
Space is limited and available on a first-come, first served basis. Reserve a spot in the workshop by contacting the Pinedale Fine Arts Council at (307) 367-7322 or emailing pfac@wyoming.com.

Thursday, March 22rd 7 pm Reception at 6:30 pm The Pinedale Library Free tickets available Thursday, March 8th*
Master Scottish fiddler and American cellist Natalie Haas will perform in the library's Lovatt Room. This award-winning duo is internationally known for their dazzling teamwork, driving, dancing rhythms, and shared passion for taking on the infectious melodies and grooves of Scottish music. There will be a pre-concert reception with hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 pm.
* Free tickets to this event will be available Thursday, March 8th at the Pinedale and Big Piney Libraries. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. This event is brought to you by a partnership between the Sublette County Library and the Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC).

Friday, April 6th 7-9 pm the Big Piney Library
Girls in 6th-8th grade are invited for a Wii™ Just Dance Dance-a-Thon party at the Library. There will also be bracelet making, snacks, movies and more. Please R.S.V.P. to the library in person, or by calling 276-3515. There is a 15 participant limit for this event.

Need something for the kids to do after school? The Big Piney Library’s After School Program is back! Send your kids over for an hour of crafts, games and stories. Call (307) 276-3515 or visit the library for more information.

Thursdays at 10:30 am
Every Thursday during the school year the Big Piney Library hosts Story Hour for preschool children. A variety of visitors entertain and teach the children, and library staff also prepare special meals to celebrate holidays. Crafts are always part of the Story Hour adventure as well. Story Hour for ages 0-5 is every Thursday at 10:30 am.

Tuesdays at 5 pm
Want a fun and relaxing activity to break up the weekly doldrums? Try knitting at the Big Piney Library on Tuesday evenings at 5 pm. Beginner as well as experienced knitters are welcome.
