  • Is there a fee to use the computers?
    Use of the public access computers is free. They are available for 30 minutes on a first-come, first serve basis. You may also reserve a computer for a longer period of time. Contact library staff by phone (307) 367-4114, email info@sublettecountylibrary.org, or by asking a staff member during your next visit.

  • Do I need a library card to use the computers?
    A library card is not necessary to use a computer.

  • Can I reserve a computer ahead of time?
    Kindy give us one day advance notice when reserving a computer. Contact library staff by phone (307) 367-4114, email info@sublettecountylibrary.org, or by asking a staff member during your next visit.

  • Can I use a computer longer than 30 minutes?
    If no one else is waiting to use a computer, you may remain on a computer for longer than 30 minutes. As soon as someone arrives in need of a computer, you will be asked to close out your activities and sign up again for the next available computer.

    You may also reserve a computer for a longer period of time. Contact library staff by phone (307) 367-4114, email info@sublettecountylibrary.org, or by asking a staff member during your next visit.

  • What are the library's policies?

  • What kind of software is on the computers?
    The library has four iMacs that currently use the Safari and Firefox broswers. Our public access PC uses the Mircosoft Office suite including Internet Explorer, Publisher, Excel, etc. The Gateway study computer also uses the Microsoft Office suite and Mozilla Firefox.

    The iMacs offer AppleWorks for word processing. Microsoft Word is available on the Dell PC and the Gateway study computer.

    To manage and print pictures from your camera, you may find it convenient to visit Pony Express Photo on Pine Street in Pinedale, (307) 367-3211.

    A high-speed DSL connection is provided by Wyoming.com of Riverton, WY.

  • Does the library have laptops available for use?
    The library has two laptops available at the front desk for the public to use.  You must be 18 to sign up, and they must stay in the library. We will ask for your driver's license while you are using them.  

  • Can I get wireless access with my own laptop?
    Yes, the library has wireless internet access. Your laptop must be set up for wireless. Any laptop less than two years old, or one that has had a wireless card added, will work.

  • Can I use the library's WiFi connection to print from a laptop?
    Whether you are using your own laptop or a library one, keep in mind that you will not be able to print. There is no printer on the wireless network.

  • Can my child use the internet?
    Yes, your child may use the internet. Computers located in the children and teen areas are equipped with child filter software.

    Children may use the adult, non filtered computers with parental permission. Download a children's internet permission form.
