is up to you to keep track of whether a computer is available - not

USING
THE CATALOG
MY
PRIVACY How to I find an item in the library catalog? I cant find the Dewey Decimal call number. To find
an item’s location, you first need to go to the ‘Full Details’
page. From a list of your search results, click on the blue button that
says ‘Full Details’ next to the item you wish to locate.
Just under the item’s title, click on the small blue word ‘Holdings’.
This will take you to the bottom of the page, where the call number
is located. you can also use the mouse to scroll to the bottom of the
page. How do I place an interlibrary loan(ILL)? Enter your
search terms, and under ‘In Library’ choose ‘All WYLD
Libraries’. Click on the ‘Locations and Call #’. Then click
‘Place Request’. You will receive a message saying “Please
wait. Your request is being processed.” Fill in the optional boxes
only if necessary. After the message, Clink on the ‘OK’
button and you will receive the message: “Your request has been
processed.” You’re done! Yes, you
can! Click on ‘My Account’ on the dark blue toolbar near
the top of the page. You are offered four choices; click on ‘Renew
My Materials’. You will be prompted for your User ID; this is
the barcode number on the back of your library card, excluding the ‘a’
and ‘b’. You do not need to enter anything in the ‘Alternate
ID’ field. Now type in your PIN (Personal Identification Number).
Please call or email us or ask a librarian at the Front Desk if you
do not know your PIN. Next, click on the button ‘List Charged
Items”. How can I find out what I have on hold*? You can
find out the items you have on hold under the “My Account”
button on the dark blue toolbar near the top of the page. Click on ‘Review
My Account’. You will be prompted for your User ID; this is the
barcode number on the back of your library card, excluding the ‘a’
and ‘b’. You do not need to enter anything in the ‘Alternate
ID’ field. Now type in your PIN (Personal Identification Number).
Please call or email us or ask a librarian at the Front Desk if you
do not know your PIN. You will see the items you have checked out, and,
further down the page, the items you have on hold. You can cancel holds
from this screen, if you decide that you no longer want them. *You may
not be able to review interlibrary loans(ILLs) from this page, please
call or email us or ask a librarian at the Front Desk for help. Why doesn’t my PIN (Personal Identification Number) work anymore? When the
Wyoming libraries went to the new online catalog system, the PIN for
every library card holder in the state was changed, because there wasn’t
a way to transfer all the PINs to the new system. If you received your
library card before July 1st, 2002, you will probably need to update
your PIN. If you got your card after that date, you received a random
PIN. Please call us at (307) 367-4114, email
us or ask a librarian at the Front Desk for your updated PIN. If you
know your current PIN, you can change it at any time. From any page
in the online catalog, click on ‘My Account’. Then click
on ‘Change User PIN’. Type your library card number, excluding
the ‘a’ and the ‘b’. now enter your personal
identification number (PIN) in the PIN field. You should leave the ‘Alternate
ID’ field blank. You will have to type in your new PIN twice.
After you’ve entered your new PIN, click the ‘Change PIN’
button. You will get a message confirming that your PIN has changed.
If you have any difficulties, please call or email us or ask a librarian
at the Front Desk. If you
do not know your PIN, you need to contact us. Please call us at (307)
367-4114, stop by, or contact us via email.
A quick check of your record by us will have you on your way. Are there computer records of everything I've ever checked out of the library? In order
to protect as much of your privacy as possible, our computers only save
records of what library items are currently checked out to you. Our
computer system no longer has a record of items you have checked out
once they are checked in. Please call us at (307) 367-4114, stop by,
or contact us via email if you have further
questions or concerns. Are there any paper records that include any of my personal information? The only
paper records we keep are the information you provided on your library
card application (i.e. your contact information). If you have overdue
items, an overdue notice is generated and sent to your mailing address
immediately. Any overdue notices generated but not sent are shredded.
Please call us at (307) 367-4114, stop by, or contact
us via email if you have further questions or concerns. Patrons
can request to renew their items 3 ways: What software is available on the public computers? We have four iMacs that currently use Internet Explorer for Macs 5.1. Our Dell PC uses Internet Explorer 6. The Gateway study computer also uses Internet Explorer 6. The iMacs offer AppleWorks for word processing. Microsoft Word is available on the Dell PC and the Gateway study computer. A
high-speed DSL connection is provided by Wyoming.com of Riverton, WY. Does the Library offer internet classes? Yes, the library does offer internet classes. Small classes are held periodically as interest rises. To express interest in taking an internet class, contact Sukey Hohl at (307) 367-4114 during hours of operation. My
library card is from another Wyoming library, can I still check out
items from the Sublette County Library? Can
I donate materials to the library? Can
I volunteer at the library? Do
you have meeting rooms available for public use? What
kinds of materials does the library have?
